Girls weekend in Sonoma

We are thinking of doing the Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa and staying in one of the bed and breakfast inns. Any recommendations for a less expensive B&B that would still appeal to women wanting to get away?

I'm just not a fan of the SMI. It's not in the greatest area of town, so you may want to consider that.

Of my many Lodging & Spa experiences in Sonoma County, I have enjoyed both the Raindance Spa at The Lodge at Sonoma and the Spa at MacArthur Place.
I think either would be fun for a girls weekend !

Four of us had a girls weekend at the Renaissance Lodge and stayed in a cottage room. It was a great weeekend!

Everyone I know really likes SMI but it is out of town.

Hi! SMI is about a five minute drive to the Sonoma Square. It is in Boyes Hot Springs. We just returned from a stay there, it was wonderful! You will be truly pampered. The Spa is absolutely gorgeous. We did the bathing ritual and relaxed by the private mineral water pool. There is also a small pool used for the Watsu treatments. You won't want to leave once you're there! Have fun! ***kim***

Agree with the Four Sisters post. I loved it but they don't have a spa if that is something really important for you. The Sonoma Mission Inn isn't w/in walking distance of the square which is something to consider. It is great to come back from wine tasting and just walk to the square for dinner.

Wow, maybe a better question would be which hotels are on the square and have availability.

Quite a few, including the Renaissance Lodge, which looked perfect, are totally booked.
