Hi all, I hope you can indulge me with some advice as to where my oldest friend and I could get together.

We are looking for a mid-way point that we can fly to for a long weekend in the spring. She is in Missouri, I am in Oregon.

I was initially thinking that flying to Denver or Santa Fe would be good options.

We are thinking of perhaps getting a cabin where we can cook, drink wine, talk and play games and such would be great. Or, go to a spa where we can relax and pamper ourselves.

Anyone know of towns or cabins or resorts that I might want to look into around those cities?

I appreciate any helpful thoughts!

Check out vrbo.com for house rentals. There are many in the Santa Fe/Taos area which would be my pick. Or perhaps Phoenix/Sedona.

Also in Colorado is Glenwood Springs. Check out Hotel Colorado there.

There are lots of rental options in Colorado. It depends on what kind of town you want to stay in. There are ski resorts, Estes Park that sits at the foot of Rocky Mountain National Park and other great mountain towns. The scenery is fabulous in the mountains. I agree on checking out vrbo or other vacation rental sites.
