We are actually planning a similar trip as yours in early April. We will be driving from South Carolina and have 1 night in Charlottesville, 1 night in Gettysburg, 3 1 night in Hershey, 3 nights in the Amish country and 3 nights in Williamsburg. We are doing this as a family of grandparents, parents/grandchildren and an aunt. This was in lieu of Christmas presents.

Cut the nights in Amish country to one (at the very most, 2) and add time to Williamsburg. I have been to both, worked in Williamsburg, and you could easily see a lot of Amish stuff in a day and spend just one night there before heading to WMSB.

That’s a lot of moving around. Hershey and Lancaster are a short drive between. You can stay in one place and do both.
charlottesville is a nice area. Monticello is great. There are several nice wineries in the area. Also some great hikes near Charlottesville.
williamsburg is a cute town with the historic village and Busch gardens. There is also the big retired navy ships in Norfolk.
