getting married - need suggestions
Anyone know of a great and beautiful place to get married in Hawaii (probably in September)? I am looking for the perfect spot on a beach and haven't spent enough time there to know of some really great spots. I don't want anyplace with a lot of screaming children or annoying tourists. Anyone have any suggestions?

No annoying tourists? Wouldn't you be an annoying tourist to drag your whole family to the perfect previously undiscovered beach spot? I'd suggest that you wait a couple weeks and then ask your question again but phrased differently. Like, "I'm looking for the perfect off the beaten path spot on the beach for my wedding ceremony. Any suggestions?"
Sorry, bad start to my day. I am taking it out on you.

This is OUTRAGEOUS!
Sunny has posed a question wishing for some help for an important day in his/her life and all anyone can do is criticise the wording of the question!!!
Surely we have all used terms like 'annoying tourists' and 'screaming children' at some stage of our lives. And in no way does it mean that we do not accept the fact that we too have also once been annoying tourists and also have screaming children of our own.
Sunny's wishes for not having these at the wedding is his/her's own choice and not an unreasonable statement to post, when providing us with a better idea of what type of venue that is preferred.
Unfortunately, I don't know Hawaii, but PLEASE could someone kindly help out here....after all isn't that the purpose of this board?

Hi Sunny,
All the Hawaiian islands have beautiful spots - some more isolated than others. I was at the Maui Sheraton in Novmember and looked down from my cliffside room to witness a lovely ocean side wedding ceremony. It was a small ceremony with just a few members of the families present. I don't think you will have a problem finding a place to get married. I suggest that you contact any large hotel - most have wedding coordinators, a local church, or check web yellow page listings for ministers/justice of the peace - any of these people should be able to help you find the right spot and get your ceremony planned. Additionally, they probably can help you find the right area to have something lovely and quiet that will meet your expectations. Beach weddings are pretty common here - so I think you should be able to get help by making a few phone calls.
Congratulations on your engagement. I hope this is helpful.

I have a friend who recently got married on the beach in the Caribbean. She sought recommendations for a wedding planner, selected one with a good reputation and was delighted with the results. They got a secluded spot on a beautiful beach, the minister, flowers, video, photographer, license etc. All details were handled by the coordinator and resulted in a stress free affair - exactly what she was looking for. there are sure to be plenty of such services in Hawaii.
