Gershwin theatre-best seafood???

Sorry for not being specific on my post. I didn't realize there were so many threads on this subject. Can anyone recommend a great seafood restaurant near the Gershwin theatre, 222 West 51st St? (Wicked) Our mother loves salmon and we are taking her for her birthday. Thanks very much.

Well - Le Barnardin - the best fish restaurant in New York - is right on w 51st St. But I don;t know if you would have time to really enjoy the meal - and be done in time to see the show.

Other good places not too far off are the Sea Grill in Rock Center and Foley's Seafood (? - not from personal experience but a lot of people seem to like it) on w 48th.

If you go to menupages.com you can see diner reviews and actual menus for each.

Just had a great lunch at Foley's Fish House (in the Renaissance Hotel). Excellent fish and nice view of Times Square.

Another vote for the Redeye Grill.
Of course, Le Bernardin is in a class by itself, but save that for an experience where you can really linger over dinner.
