Gas prices on Big Islang

We are headed to Kona(and beyond)in two weeks and would like to have an idea of current gas prices. A range would be helpful. Mahalo!

Funny you should ask. Here on Kaua`i today, we noticed that Hanamaulu Shell (usually the lowest prices on the island) had raised their cost 2 cents just since yesterday.

One gallon regular today: $2.65
Princeville Chevron today: $2.71

Yikes! There was a question earlier asking if it would be good to rent a 4 X 4... Hope prices go down for you Auntiemaria. We're paying $252/gallon in Las Vegas.

Thanks for the info and great gas price website! Leave it to Fodorites to come through(even with my ridiculous typo on Island)! Here in a Chicago suburb we're paying from $2.37-$2.45.

I have friends on Maui right now and they're reporting gas in the $2.70s. That's the one thing I don't envy them right now! Because the webcam near their hotel is making me drool!

At least in mid March the gas prices were the cheapest at the Costco near Kona. If you belong, be sure to take your card!

Thanks so much for this info. We just got our Costco cards and will surely use them for gas too. Kind of you to give us a heads up!
