I paid $2.89 at Costco in Poway yesterday.

Don't forget that the reason gas is less expensive in the US than in most other countries is because there is much less tax on it here. Overall, the price of the actual gas is very similar everywhere.

One of the local stations in San Antonio has been selling 85 octane for 2.56/gal but the average I've seen for 87 octane is 2.77/gal.

Wow. Have the gas companies succeeded in getting us to believe that $2.60 a gallon is a bargain price???

I'm just glad that prices are coming down - in working my budget for an upcoming road trip I was using an average of $3.50 a gallon. Now that it is going down we'll be in good shape. Average cost for 87 Octane regular in Sacramento, CA is $2.87 - $2.94 per gallon - should be less in other states (or that's what we've found in the past).

$2.37.9 in Roanoke, VA. So, any bets on whether it goes back up right after the elections?

Cactushugger, that's great. It dropped to $2.559 here in Woodstck (exit 283) yesterday. We're headed to Baton Rouge in two weeks, so I hope the prices keep dropping. Wytheville usually has good prices also.

I'm fly for free on magic carpet here!
Mean time, we pilot modest lake boat and see price for one gallon

gas station at home: 2.78
near Yosemite: add .50
boat dock fuel: 4.89

$350 tank ofgas on a boat make weekend faster.

Ask yousellf, what company you know never going out of busines?
Is diamonds water fuel houses and you knowing more.

Do seek truth in all your travels and you will never sell a sand to arab, ice to eskimo, and, the comb to bald man.
