Fun restaurants in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge

I am taking a middle school Student Council group to Gatlinburg in June. I was wondering if anyone could suggest any fun restaurants that 28 thirteen and fourteen year olds would enjoy for lunch or dinner. Breakfast is covered at our hotel. Thanks in advance for your responses.

I just topped a great trip report that you may find helpful.

Here is the link to the TR starrs topped (usually better than topping since a thread can drop fast)

Best Italian is a place I am thinking about taking the kids for pizza. I'm kind of torn between Best Italian and Mellow Mushroom. Any suggestions?

To me, Best Italian by far (but Mellow Mushroom is a chain with locations near me, so nothing special). Our church youth group loves Best Italian. It's a fun place with good pizza (and other food).

Otherwise, the food in Gatlinburg is more chains than local places, which might be fine for the kids - there's a Hard Rock, TGI Fridays, I think a Bubba Gumps, that sort of thing. My guess is that you'll mostly walk the parkway and find a spot that looks good.

What do you plan to do with them during the day in Gatlinburg? Just curious.

We are ziplining, rafting, hiking to Laurel Falls, taking the tram to Ober Gatlinburg, visiting the aquarium and Space Needle, and taking in the attractions of their choice on the strip. We will also spend one evening in Pigeon Forge. I am thus looking for 2 lunches and one dinner in Gatlinburg, and one dinner in Pigeon Forge.

I went with a school group and we took them to the Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge. they liked the show and the food was "decent".
