Fun in Corvallis

Hey there - my best friend and I are meeting up in Corvallis for a 3 day weekend at the end of the month. Wondering if anyone has some well loved sites / restaurants / bars / hang outs. We will be just the girls - without the babies - and are eager for fun spots to hang out - have a beer - listen to some music, etc. Would so appreicate any input. We are from Seattle and will be driving down for the trip. Thanks so much.

Go to Eugene--IMO it's much nicer and more fun.

Thank you for your reply. Seems like Eugene is not too much farther a drive from the Seattle area - so I might take your advice. Do you have any spots that you love in Eugene? Would also be looking for a hotel. Thanks again.

Don't go to Corvallis - go to Newport, on the beautiful Oregon COAST!!!

Newport is just over an hour's drive from Corvallis. Just head west on US 20 from Corvallis - very easy drive. Newport is one of the larger towns on the coast, so there is some civilization there. At least go overnight.

In Eugene I would recommend Valley River Inn- its on the river and bike path, right next to a shopping center,
has a nice restaurant with dining on the deck/ you can rent bikes there /
there is entertainment at night in the lounge - would be nice for a girls weekend.
Eugene has quite a few nice restaurants also but not really big on night life .

There are some beautiful areas to hike around there--one I recall that was gorgeous was Fall Creek--not sure how to get there, but a guidebook on the area should have the information. There was a good French restaurant, but I haven't been there in a long time, so can't recall the name. Anyone?
