Where to stop for the night along the Oregon coast?
I am looking for a place to break up a drive along the Oregon coast. This is a vacation trip. We will be driving south-to-north, either starting in Crescent City, California or at Coos Bay. We will have probably 5-6 hours of driving/sightseeing time available the first day, and maybe 7-8 hours the second day before we have to head over to Portland. Florence, Newport, and Lincoln City look like possibilities, but that's based purely on looking at the map. Does anyone have any recommendations, both for lodgings and for places to eact anywhere along the coast?

My preferred towns for overnights are Bandon and Yachats. Look at the Fireside in Yachats in particular. http://www.firesidemotel.com/
There are a couple of good restaurants in Bandon's waterfront "old town," and although it's a (small) chain, I actually think Mo's is pretty good - in several locations. http://www.moschowder.com/index.php

Thanks for your responses. We couldn't get reservations in Bandon (last weekend of the summer). We did stay in Newport, but at the Holiday Inn Express. It's located on the south side of the bridge, but was a perfectly fine hotel and only about a 4-minute walk to the Oregon Aquarium.
