Hi Tenjoh - I don't need your Toursaver book, as I have one already. But, what did you think of the summit tour with Talkeetna Aero Services? I'm taking that trip in late August.

I enjoyed the flight, though McKinley wasn't "out" that day, its crown remaining shrouded in clouds. Still, it was rather neat to see the glaciers from above -- they look like rivers of ice.

One of the things I debated was doing a glacier landing flight, but ultimately I'm not sure the glacier landing would add much. We saw a plane landed on the snow in the mountains while we flew over, but IMO the landing seems more of a "I was there" kind of photo op.

We just did the summit tour of McKinley last week with Talkeetna Aero Services & like Tenjoh, the mountain "wasn't out" The highlight for us was seeing the climbers summiting from 17 camp & seeing all their tents & to see the path & tracks of a party that had summited the previous day. Also cliimbers from 13 camp.We actually ran into friends from home the same day who were doing the circle tour of Denali & their flight was postponed due to cloud cover & poor visibility whereas ours was okay because we were going above the inclement weather & not affected
