It's Friday and I'm here.

Rave: Weather. Wow.

Rant: job. It's been a bad week for everyone. Not a good way to start the new year.

Rave: through the internet, it's easier to search for a new job

Rant: Tsunamis and other nature disaters. I saw on the news last night there was an aftershock of 6.2 magnitude. That's not an aftershock, that's a major earthquake.

Rave: There are good people in this world. After the week I've had, it's good to know I do have good friends and family.

Rave: We just had a beautiful week in Paris.

Rant: It's over...for another year.

Rant: My main computer's on/off switch went kaput this morning, and my guru son can't be here to fix it. You know how much "stuff" is only on your puter? Appt's, reservations, as well as addresses.

Rave: I've got a laptop but have no email addresses on it. Can retrieve my mail and answer only who I hear from now.

Rave: Our FL winter this year.

Rant: It would be nice to get out of summer clothes for a little while.

Happy New Year to all...wishing everyone good health, happiness, and plenty of fun travel in 2005.

OO, don't you Floridians have year around clothes and cold snap clothes?

Rave: Fingers crossed, Mr.GoTravel and I will move to South FLorida by summer.

Rave: JenKitty! She has not only healed my heart but has stolen it as well.

Rant: JenKitty with her year old kitty energy is wearing out my 13 year old cat. May have to adopt another cat

Rave: Possibly adopting another cat

Rant-The predators selling the tsunami orphans into slavery. Just breaks my heart.

Rave-The people who are giving generously of their time and money to the victims.

Rant-Girl Scout Cookies. DD's troop goal is for each girl to sell 50 boxes!

Rave-Thin mints!

Rant-Another Columbus police officer died in the line of duty.

Rave-Sun is out today for a change.

jor-PayPal had a class action suit against last year. sundowner-hope you have a big pooper scooper. Statia-I have been doctoring my dogs for I don't know how long. My smaller one has been a spot on his leg he keeps gnawing, I bandage it up and he goes right back at it and eventually he goes into the vet to get it treated.I shudder at how much in $$$ that leg has cost us at the vets. My dh calls him the dog with the golden leg.

Rave: Doctors without Borders

Rave: pruning and top dressing done in the garden yesterday. The "storm door" opens here in the Bay Area officially. Daffs are already popping up their greenery

Rave: a New Year's weekend we thought we'd be away. We stayed "in town" dining on dim sum and watching "Angels in America" and cleaning closets. We'd both taken Monday off which allowed us a lunch at Chez Panisse. What a treat!

Rave:trip planning this time to NYC,the Hudson Valley and the Berkshires in October.

Tx Travel Pro~I hear you! First the creeps broke into my car, then they left all my tapes scattered outside the car. I guess they were not interested in Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. Three months later they stole my car.
I asked myself who would steal a 10 year old station wagon???!!!

buckeyemom: I feel your pain! Our dog tore both cruciate ligaments in his back legs 2 years ago and both legs required major surgery, both times the surgery had to be performed in another city 3 hours from where we live. In the end, the final tally was **gulp** $6000.

I wouldn't hesitate to do it again as he is our baby and worth more than any dollar amount to me but he is the bionic dog with Platinum legs now!

Guess that's a RAVE: Skilled surgeons who can piece back together a crippled animal!

TxTravelPro, it isn't buying using PayPal on eBay that's a problem. Its selling on eBay and setting up and accepting PayPal as payment that's a problem. They do everything except put on the latex gloves and tell you to bend over. Who knows, maybe their doctors will knock on my door.

Rant: Bosses want to have a meeting with me over the amount of sick time I've had to take the last 2 months. I didn't ask to get gallstones, a cold, a car accident and strep throat right after the other!!

Rave: If something does go down, I was planning on leaving anyway since the company will not be around much longer.

Rave: May get a job paying more money and closer to home. Will find out next week.

Rave: My 1 year anniversary will be on Monday. Surprising BF with a trip to Mohegan Sun in CT.

Rant: Can't decide between the Microtel, the Best Western and the Radisson in the area!! (that was another posting)

Rave: That's it's payday, it's Friday and everyone is in a good mood.

Rave: I brought in chocolate lollipops and pumpkin dessert dip I made to the office, and everyone loves both.

Rant: That I still have yet to answer my creative calling!! LOL

Everyone have a great weekend!!

Rave: We are leaving for New York today

Rant: Weather is threatening our departure, but we'll get there!

Rant: I've noticed quite a few double identity posters that use their 2nd screen name to bust other member's allbays.

Rant: Had a terrible argument with my MIL a few days ago. Italian temper + Spanish temper = not good.

Rave: MIL is my guardian angel O and my closest friend

Rave: My company is donating $25 million worth of drugs/goods and $10 million in cash to tsunami relief, and all employee contributions will be matched dollar-for-dollar without even having to fill out the matching gift form. Though I sometimes have doubts about the way we run things, it's awesome to see such generosity.

Rave: Husband has decided to donate an unexpected year-end bonus to tsunami relief and to the hospice that helped with his grandmother instead of on a digital camera before our Vegas trip. As Salt 'n Pepa said, Whatta Man.

Rave: Vegas in four weeks. Give us a good report, Ani!

Rant: Nothing of importance. Wishing all fodorites and their furry ones a great weekend.

PamSF:
You dropped a zero in your post. The cost for our emporers coronation will be $40 million, not $4 million. That does not include the cost of security.

Rant: DIL lost her 2 mo PG in the UK just before Christmas.

Rant: The awful reports from the medical personnel on the ground in Asia about infections of untreated small lacerations/abrasions, resultant cellulitis, abscesses, sepsis, amputations without surgical equipment, blood or fluid replacement in pre US Civil War era conditions and horrendous deaths.

Rave/Rant: The generosity of folks in the US/The world's resentment of same.

Rave: Off to SMdA, MX on Thursday.

Rave: MEXUS a start up "Ryanair clone" plans flights from DFW to several MX destinations by year end.

Happy Trails.
