Rant: my great neighbors of 15 years moved yesterday. We will miss them very much.

Rave: Hubby gets to build their new home when the plans are complete!!

Rant: "Spare the Air" days when all athletics are cancelled, and the air quality is really bad here!

Rave: DD has another WP tournament this weekend. She's such a wonderful athlete and works so hard!

Rant: still need a place for the guys to eat after that SF football game next month!

Rave: After the WP tournament tomorrow, it's off to the Bulldog game! Amazing team this year!!

Rant: Just ran out of my favorite lotion from a spa in Astoria, OR It's a wonderful, algae lotion that is wonderful for skin that's in the water a lot!

Rave: Our Syrah is in glass jugs now, we'll have to see how it turns out in a couple of months!

Rant: I still need to come with a name for our labels!!

Rave: There's a new gym, closer to our house that is REALLY nice. I'm waiting for the pool/jacuzzi/steam room area to be complete. It even has a nice juice bar!

Rant: Only got there once last week. That isn't enough to be effective!!

RAve: Hopefully, after church on Sun. with the family, DH & I will go to our condo for the afternoon to relax, swim, sit by the lake, fish and read. Then have a wonderful romantic dinner at the Lakeshore Resort. Take a bottle of our favorite wine and spend some time together. Have a great weekend everyone! ***kim***

Ooh, Scarlett, how blessed you are to live so close to your daughter. My two daughters are far away - one in New York, one in Pasadena - and I miss them like anything. I know your son is in Japan, which of course is an even greater distance. Fortunately my two sons (and consequently 4 of the 5 grandkids) are here in Toronto and we have dinner together most Sundays.

Rave (another)
Fodors posters rock! You guys always make me feel like the world is small and we all are friends. Every time I read a post from somewhere in our country I feel like I get to know our country better. We cry together and laugh together.

Kal, you always make me laugh.

Scarlett, you are sweet and I always picture you as a fun loving person.

Love to the rest of the gang and have a great weekend.

Thank you jersey

Meesthare, I just have the two, one here and the 'baby' over in Japan. It would certainly be nice if he were at least on the same continent..or England or France ...

There is a rumor going on in the Scarlett household, actually a secret bit of whispering that I might get to be surprised by a visit by my dear son-san. That will of course, make me impossible to live with ( the excitement!! the cooking!! the shopping!!) so be prepared, FodorFriends!

It is a beautiful hot day in Jax and we have swarms of dragon flies...lovely

Rave:
TGIF after a long emotional week.

Rant: No delicate way to say this, found out the victim of a senseless murder in my city is my ex-BF. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Although he is an ex, I am carrying around alot of grief and don't know a constructive way of expressing it without hurting the new people in my life.

Rave: The wonderful people here who listen to one anothers rants and raves and let me get this off my chest.

Peace be with all of you.

Thank you , seetheworld, but! there is that hint of fall in the air that I miss so much~

atilla, I am so sorry! Knowing that anyone that you have known, has been killed is sad and upsetting. Be as sad you as feel like being, don't hold it all in, it will just stay longer that way.

Atilla, that is so-o tragic and I understand how you feel.
What a nice whisper, Scarlett.
meesthare, I once slept in my bathtub when I was single. Someone gave me a bed and during the night... so tossed it on the street and went to sleep in the tub.
bonniebroad, I put mucho pounds on while in France because I ate three meals a day and inbetween, not what I do at home.
My brother-in-law is coming for dinner. His wife left him and he's in bad shape over it.
