Fort Wayne, Indiana
I'm taking my 7 year old son to Fort Wayne, Indiana to go to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo so he can hold a tenrec. He wanted to go to Madagascar to see tenrecs. This was the compromise. He can actually hold a tenrec and we don't have to fly 48 hours to Madagascar to do it. We are going the second weekend in May.
Suggestions on where to stay? Other things to do? Someone else mentioned driving to the Neil Armstrong flight museum. How far is the beach at Lake Michigan(?) We also have food allergies. Any suggestions of restaurants that are particularly good at food allergies?
I have never been to Indiana so I'm excited.

I was just there and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. It was nice and I enjoyed the breakfast there a lot.
I was lucky enough to have a quick visit with Challiman. She could help answer your questions but I don't think she's on Fodors much (if any) anymore. I'll send her a message to let her know about your post.

I just flew in because it was the closest airport - and to meet Challiman! But I really did like the HGI.
And hated that I missed the huge Vera Bradley annual sale by ONE day!
Challiman said she'd try to get over here "later".
