Food Options near Hilton Towers

I am attending a conference in October at the Hilton Towers (6th and 54th.) Can you recommend any places to eat a quick breakfast and/or lunch? They are not provided within the conference. I would like to spend $15 or less on breakfast and $25 or less on lunch. I am not picky on types of food. We will have about an hour and a half for lunch. Thanks!

Did you do a search? This was discussed at great length last spring. We stayed at this Hilton and I also added to the threads. Great location, lots of options.

On 55th between 6th & 5th there are a lot of take out places. La Bonne Soupe is also on that street and has a lunch special of soup, salad & bread. Maison is a big French brasserie on Broadway 53-54. Rue 57 at 57th & 6th also good French and sushi.

Directly across the street from the parking garage entrance is a fabulous convenience store which also serves breakfast (cheap) to order and fresh sandwiches, salads, etc., to take away or enjoy at a number of tables within. Place is spotless. Service is efficient and friendly.

I just got back from NYC last weekend & posted a report somewhere in these threads. I definitely 2nd La Bonne Soupe - it was wonderful! 13.95 includes soup, salad, bread, dessert & wine - enough for a dinner - we were there around 3pm and it wasnt crowded so not sure how fast the lunch turnover is - but I think you'll have plenty of time. It was 55th btwn 7th & 8th I think. Have a great time!

For breakfast try Le Pain Quotidien @ 7th & 58th their website is http://www.painquotidien.com wonderful breads, fruit, coffee, pastries, and other breakfast items. You can easily eat there for under $15, and it's not far from the Hilton. Enjoy NYC!
