What's the really bad thing about all of this is that after you go through all the trouble at check in time, the pilot heads down the wrong runway and you die. Or the plane is involved in a mid air mess with another plane, and you die. Or the landing gear fails to drop as it should and you are seriously injured. But hey!!! you could die easier knowing that you had been protected from those evil terrorists!

well, TSA must have seen my post because they got their revenge. TSA from Paris to Chicago did not touch my checked luggage. However, tonight, TSA from Chicago to Honolulu rifled through both my checked bags! They broke one of them, in fact, broke a couple of items in the suitcase, and (I think) stole a can of lobster pate. I had two cans and now I have one.

All right, I won't call them fascists, but I do have another "f" description.....

hi--I just came back from a very quick BOS-LAX round trip and I have to reiterate how ridiculous this thread of less than one month ago is!! Not b/c of tekwriter's smuggling of her mascara, but rather b/c her mascara went from being a security threat to no problem in a little over 3 weeks. For those of you old enough to remember Gilda Radner's character, Emily Littella, I can hear her saying, "Never mind".

And while we all take true security seriously, I have been annoyed with the people who responded to this thread as if the OP had ever been any kind of danger to anyone! Well, that is my rant for the day...

I totally forgot about this thread till I saw it today! Bad day Alisa? Anyway, so does that mean I get my confiscated mascara back? I wonder what the security agent did with it after she shook her finger at me. Do I now get to shake my finger(s)?

Also the good news is, I found the lobster pate, it was kind of lost amongst the rifled clothes in my suitcase.

I don't know where you found that you cannot wear underwire bras; in fact you can even wear gel bras!

DebitNM, I could swear I read it. I am going to the TSA page to see if I imagined it or what. Thanks for the heads up. I thought it sounded a bit ridiculous! LOL

ha ha! tuckerdc, if you go to your chinatown to a chinese herbalist, they sell little glass vials (single serving) of this stuff. In big herbalist shops, it is found in the 'cough remedy section.' I use it to squelch my cough for up to 6 hours, IF I get sick. the label is completely in chinese except for the brand name.

Underwire bras are OK. Should
ANYthing you're wearing happen to set off the alarm, a nice lady will just take you to the side and wand you down. No worries.
