I use Firefox and have a pop up stopper. I have no idea what people are always talking about -- Goofy, Dumbo, popups, airplanes, cars, tongues on dogs. Huh?

What Neo failed to tell you is that in exchange for being able to use the "popup stopper" you get personal e-mail copies of every "What should I wear?" and "Listen to my upcoming fabulous itinerary" post sent directly to you.

Huh? What was that supposed to mean, Intrepid?

To be honest I think the pop up stopper is automatically part of Firefox, but I downloaded a pop up stopper from panicware and run that. From time to time I also get a message that says, Firefox has prevented a pop up window from opening, and I need to allow it if I want that window -- like on some booking sites, for example.

I used to get them. But I don't anymore since my son put Symantec firewall on my computer. Hadn't thought about it until just now.

I have Spy Sweeper on my machine at work, but not at home. I get the popups at home, but not at work. Not that I visit this site at work or anything ....

I don't get them: popups, banners, etc.

I have no anti-virus, no firewall, no PROGRAM at all to exclude those "pia"s. What I have is a very customized version of the HOSTS file.

Do some research on this important file and reclaim control of your own computer.
