Florida's Forgotten Coast
We are considering renting a beach house near Carabelle, FL (St George Sound area) in mid to late June. Unfortunately a previous visitor complained of horrible biting flies and yellow jackets in June. Can anyone tell me if this is typical or not?? Other things to consider?? We are looking for a quiet week on a beautiful beach, with hiking or other nature options nearby. Don't want anything very commercial or built up. This area sounded perfect until we read about the pest misery! All input appreciated.

Not typical at all except in a swamp area with no breeze
many wonderful areas on the coast with nice sea breezes
www.cutteradvanced.com works well for pests.
Personally would just stay flexible not rent something
sight unseen too mny cute BBs neat places to explore
to stay in just one place anyway.

Thanks much for your replies. We are traveling with teenagers & possibly a dog so will not be able to explore b&bs etc. However we are very happy to hear the flies & bees are not a common problem.
any further comments on the area will be appreciated!
