Seems way too ambitious. Looks like you are staying in Orlando. I would probably skip the Tampa portion of the trip for a 4 day weekend. Only having a few hours at multiple parks makes no sense to me. Especially with their price. Given the 1.5 hour drive each way (based on Google), you will not have a lot of time for Busch Gardens. Are you just planning on driving by the beach? 3 hours in a car plus the time at the parks when it is that hot will not be enjoyable.

I agree. A lot of time gets eaten up just getting to a park, parking, getting in, getting oriented, etc. It's way off base to think that an hour after leaving your hotel in Orlando, you'd be IN Busch Gardens enjoying yourselves. Leaving for a day to spend a few hours at Busch Gardens makes no sense to me as in my book, the parks near Orlando are just as good (or better).

I'm even picturing trying to arrive (this is a flight?) at 10:45, presumably getting your luggage and getting a car, checking in to a hotel and then being IN Sea World by 12:30.

I hadn't even thought about that. That is also completely unrealistic.

Seems kind of like a crazy schedule.
Also, if you have kids (especially younger ones) this might make for a few days of crankiness - especially since the end of May is already hot in Florida.
Personally, I would just stay in orlando the whole time - there is more than enough to do there - and it will cut down drastically on your driving time.

Thanx everyone for the replies so far. I agree its a little ambitious. We could probably cut Busch out. I was thinking of doing that since there is a seaworld deal where u get seaworld and either aquatica or busch for 89 as opposed to 79 for just sea world. The one thing is the kids really would like to see a beach. If we cut Busch where could we go?

Thanks for reminding us that when things seem really weird, there may have been a reason for it. So what you're saying is, you can add Busch Gardens for $10 each and the kids really want to see a beach.

Have you booked your hotel yet? I assume you have booked your flights? When do you return on the last day -- how much time do you have?
Here's my suggestion -- arrive, get your car and go to Clearwater. Yea, it makes for a long day but then the worst will be over, and when you get to the Gulf, it will seem so worth it. Spend the remainder of the afternoon at the beach and watch the sunset. Can you stay there that night? Do Busch Gardens the next day then head to Orlando. Do Sea World and Wet and Wild in your remaining two days. Or if you have a full last day to spend, then perhaps do Sea World one day and Universal the other -- cutting out Wet and Wild. Either way, that's plenty for one trip.

Unless you add time (ie. another day), I don't see how it is manageable to do everything and go to the beach.

Where are you flying in from? We have already said that Friday is not realistic and that it will not work. Maybe (and I am not advocating this) pick up your rental car drive to Clearwater Beach (is Daytona closer than Clearwater?) for the rest of the day. You could even get a hotel room over there for the night and drive to Orlando early the next morning. Then do Sea World on Saturday. That may work but it will be long and hot day on Friday. I would skip the beach entirely this trip or skip the water park.

I also do not see how Sunday works. Who would want to leave a water park when it is 90 degrees out to go to an amusement park?

Yea, too funny. I thought about that for awhile and thought no one else would suggest going immediately to the coast -- but hey -- great minds DO work alike.

By the way, having lived in Florida full time for 35 years now, the heat of the summer really exhausts me, but when I was a kid in Ohio, we did our family vacation to Florida every year for two weeks in August. (That's when my father had a mandatory vacation). We never thought twice about the heat and we did all the usual things (although Disney World didn't exist then, and Busch Gardens was just a gardens and a parrot show. Maybe some of us just make too much out of the heat. And even at the parks, there is a lot of air conditioning.

What ages are your children and how many people will be traveling? I would think Universal Studios and/or Disney would be more fun than Sea World. I also would skip Busch GArdens as it takes time to get there and get into the park. Depending on the age of your kids, you can do or see the same type of things in Orlando such as Animal Kingdom if you want the animal scene. Also it is so humid and hot in FL that time of year the kids ( or adults) will appreciate a water park. I would recommend one of the Disney ones such as Blizzard Beach.
You could take a drive to the ATlantic side vs Clearwater beach though Clearwater is gorgeous.

I LOVE Seaworld and with the addition of all the rides over the past ten years or so, I think it is more entertaining than Disney.

I would do Seaworld and Universal/IOA. Universal/IOP usually has a two day pass for the price of one and to be honest, I think those are the three best parks.

Seaworld has the best roller coaster Kracken.

Um - what are you planning on doing in Sea World for an hour and a half. It takes the best part of the day to see it - esp since you must time the schedules of the various shows (Shamu, sea lions, etc) so as not to overlap. The only way to see even the outside of all the exhibits at Sea World in 1.5 hours is by jogging.

Your other times seem equally out of whack.

If you really want to spend time at the beach why go to Orlando? I would stay on the coast and just do a day trip to Sea World.
