Florida Everblades- Worth a visit?
I have always wanted to visit a typical USA sporting event during our vacation but we never seem to be in the right place at the right time.
This year I've noticed that the Florida Everblades will have tickets available on the web on 1st October for 19th November.
We are not particularly fans of ice hockey, it could just as easily have been basketball. It is the event/atmosphere that we are after. Are they a good team with plenty of support? I'd hate to go and be in a half empty stadium ( although I guess if they are very popular I may not be able to get tickets anyway!).
Thanks as always,
Hoggy

Can anybody help with the Everblades? I also noted on their website that "guns and knives are prohibited" (!!!!!!). What sort of crowd is likely to go? Is it unsuitable for a holiday outing?

hoggy,
"I also noted on their website that "guns and knives are prohibited"
Geeeez...tough crowd!
I've never been, so can't answer, but when I read your title, I though you had misspelled Everglades....so I'll suggest that you re-post with hockeyor the name of the town where they play in the title. Good luck!

The EverBlades play in the ECHL, a minor hockey league two notches below the NHL. That being said, you can usually get great seats without spending a lot of money & it makes for a cheap night of entertainment. (Here in Charlotte, we have the Checkers & we go frequently). They typically have a pretty good team, but them being a minor league franchise, & affiliated w/an NHL team they kind of take what they get as far as players go.
