Florida beaches
Can somebody please help me find a sandy-soft Florida beach in a semi-quiet & safe area? I will accompany my elderly mother so accommodation should be easy & have a great restaurant for evening dining. I prefer not to re mortgage my home, but Sanibel Island/Captiva looks nice. Also, perhaps around Naples or Bonita Springs. (I've been to the Panhandle, Clearwater & Sarasta.)I'd love to leave within a week....it will be -37° here tonight. Thankyou, Wanda

There are some lovely places around Naples as well. A few years ago I was there on business the first week in March and wished I had been on vacation. Walked the beach when I could. They have shells! And the water was warm and inviting.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

as much as I love Sanibel and Captiva, they will not give you sandy-soft beaches. The beaches are full of shells and thus require the beach shoes or whatever they are called.
Siesta, Lido or Longboat keys are the places you want to look at.

When are you planning on going? It matters weather-wise. I'm near Cocoa Beach on the Atlantic side. Sand is not as soft as say, Destin but it's warmer here now, 80 degrees yesterday. The beach here goes for miles and miles. Just depends on your priorities...
