flights to different islands

We are visiting Oahu in May, 2003. We are intrested in a day trip to Maui that would include a tour around the island. What tour group would you recommend? thanks!

Rent a car and have fun checking out on your own. Whatever you like and how long you want. Do some research here and find out what are the highlits on Maui. Have fun when driving

Being the so-called "expert" on Hawaii on this board I feel compelled to tell you that you would have a better trip if you went to Maui for the majority of your stay and took a day trip to Oahu.

Maui gives you much more of the Hawaiian feel rather than a near continental USA feel of Oahu with malls, traffic jams and skyscrapers.

If you are absolutely locked into Oahu then Maui day trip is vital to having a good time.

I am unable to drive. I am "locked" in to Oahu. Can anyone just answer my question? Thanks!

Hi Betty,

Try Robert's Hawaii - they are one of the largest tour operators here in Hawaii. I don't have personal experience with them, but I have heard good things. They do have one day and overnight interisland tour trips. Here is a link to their home page.

Oahu has loads of things to see and do - and the bus system is easy to use if you don't drive. Have a great trip.

Hi Betty,
I don't know who to use for the side trip, but I'm sure you will enjoy Oahu. Some of these people just amaze me. Seem to amaze themselves too.
Have a great tip.

Hi betty, we were in Maui in May, and one thing we LOVED was taking a day trip to Hana. We did it through a combination tour through Air Maui helicopters and Temptation Tours van tour service.

They pick you up in a helicopter at the heliport (near the airport) and you have a nice flight over parts of the island drop down in Hana. Then they feed you lunch and then you head back on the road from Hana back to the heliport. The tour guides were great and the road to/from Hana is beautiful. Waterfalls, tropical flower farms, etc.

You can check out their packages at www.temptationtours.com. Oh, and on the helicopter ride you can pay $20 extra for a video of YOUR helicopter ride, exactly what you saw on the ride. You hear the pilots voice on the tape, and one of the cameras tapes on the inside of the helicopter as well, so you get your own facial expressions, etc.

Good luck!
Missy

There are tons of tour wholesalers out there that will arrange a fly/drive package for you.

Roberts Hawaii- www.robertshawaii.com
Rendezvous Tours - 808-593-2119
KC Island Travel - www.kcislandtravel.com
Panda Tours- www.pandaonline.com

Any of these Hawaii based companies, and i'm sure many more, can help you out.

Aloha
