Flamingo vs. Barbary Coast

Was just in Vegas last week and stayed at The Orleans & was quite satisfied; however, want to stay on the strip.

I'm debating on the Flamingo or the Barbary Coast--loved the Blackjack tables at the BC, but like the "looks" of the Flamingo and actually enjoyed the breakfast/lunch buffet--went at 11:30 a.m. and had access to both.

Any thoughts from anyone--thx.

Flamingo may be nicer, however, the Barbary Coast may be cheaper.

There is an excellent restaurant in the Barbary Coast called Michaels. It is very understated and it outstanding. Who would have thunk it. If you want to go there, you need to make reservations in advance. They only take so many reservations. Go to the Barbary web site and look it up.

Thx for your input. I'll def. check out Michaels. Will prob. opt for Flamingo tho to stay.

I just had great luck at the Blackjack tables @ Barbary Coast and plan to be spending my $ there!

Thx again.

Let me know what you think how the rest. is. I have never been there, but saw it on the travel channel and wanted to go, but could not get reservations. However, I can recommend, hugos Celler in the 4 Queens Hotel on Fremont Street. It is really good.

Stay at the Flamingo if all is mostly equal. I have been there a couple of times and always liked it.

I do enjoy the street corner between the two places late at night/early AM. Seems to be a congregating place for the professional ladies. Outstanding people watching in the wee hours. Nothing but observing.....

the higher floors w/a view are nice @the Flamingo...get on there e-mail list and they will send you their specials,,,,try O'Sheas for gambling connected to the Flamingo...get good deals for their website/e-mails....and can get a refund if you get a cheaper deal..but there is nothing wrong w/BC either
