Fishermans Wharf family restaurants

We'll be in SF, staying by Fisherman's Wharf for 2 nights next week. Grandkids are 8-12 yrs old. Any suggestions for fun dinner spots?

If you click on my user name, you will see my trip report for kids in San Fran, including restaurants on the Wharf. It's fun!

The Hollywood Cafe serves up some eggsellent breakfasts, Pat's Cafe is great too. Frankie's Pier 43 for dinner, or the Tanguito shack for yummy empanadas, burgers and garlic fries.

Haven’t been to FW for ages but Scoma’s and Pier 23 restaurant were pretty good back then and I believe they’re still around. Red’s Java House is interesting though it’s past the Ferry Building.

Forgot to add for Red’s a cheeseburger on sourdough with a cold one.

There are several nice restaurants at Fisherman's Wharf, you can check out Scoma’s Restaurant, The Buena Vista or The Codmother Fish & Chips. All these are nice restaurants.

I honestly do not know anyone who goes to Fishermans wharf or who eats there. Last time I ate anywhere near the area was Palette tea house in Ghirardelli square which was ok. Be prepared for very pricey meals in the city.
