FIRST TIME VISIT TO CHARLESTON AND SAVANNAH

HELLO! THIS IS MY FIRST VISIT HERE AND I MUST SAY I AM IMPRESSED WITH THE KNOWLEDGE AND FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE HERE.

ANY ADVICE ABOUT THESE TWO CITIES WOULD BE APPRECIATED. ESP. CHARLESTON. WE HAVE A WEEK TO SPEND AND WANT TO MAKE THE BEST DECISIONS.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP.

In the search box above, type in "escargot" and then scroll through her posts on the left. There's several about Charleston, including a trip report that will help you a lot.

If it interests you, I'd definitely take a tour of the plantations. Do a search for Boone Hall, Drayton Hall, Magnolia Plantation, and Middleton Place and see if they appeal to you. We loved seeing them. Magnolia's was our favorite spot for dinner.

Charleston is a can't miss. I researched this trip on this site and rec'd great info a couple of years back. There are unbelievable posts some of which my wife and I followed very closely! Great food, unbelievable history, nice hotels. Stayed at Charleston Place near the open air markets. Tons to do. Info about your demographic etc. would help.
