First time to Vegas -- Seeing "O" -- What to Wear
Hello! Six of us are going to Las Vegas for the first time in April, and the group is counting on me -- I have no idea why! -- to find out what would be appropriate attire when we see "O" at the Bellagio. I thought some of you Vegas experts would have some good advice...thanks in advance!

In Las Vegas, it seems that "anything goes" especially when it comes to attire. You can be sitting at a show where one woman is dressed in diamonds and strapless dress, right next to someone in shorts and a t-shirt. That said, I always bring a few things that make me feel special for going out at night. It makes the occasion seem more festive. I wouldn't wear a long gown and evening gloves to "O", but practically anything else is OK.

When we went 2 weeks ago, there was all kinds of outfits around. Mostly it was dressy casual, which I wore too. I had on nice crop pants with a silk blouse with heeled slides. I adored "O" and so did my sister. The Bellagio is such a gorgeous place, I feel more comfortable looking slightly dressy, than not. Judy

Originally there was a nominal dress cose for "O". Collared shirts required for men, no jeans, no sandals.
I think they've even relaxed those standards.
Las Vegas is a very casual town.
You'll see plenty of people get dressed up nicely at night, but most will be very casual.
The answer to your question is: wear whatever makes you happiest (within reason, of course. Managament won't appreciate any Janet Jackson impersonations).

We were at O in January and saw mostly dressy casual. My husband wore a jacket but no tie, I wore pants and dressy sweater (it was chilly that week). If you go sleeveless, make sure and take a wrap or sweater--it's on the cool side in the auditorium (all that water .

When I went to see the show most people were dressed very nice. They would not let in shorts or sandals. I guess to be safe I would dress casual but not too casual. One of our friends had to return to our hotel to change out of shorts, they weren't about to make an exception. If you want to make sure they are still so strict I would call the hotel and ask what the policy is. Have fun, enjoy the show!

Have to agree with one of the posters above--bring a sweater, it gets a little cool with all of the water around the show. And I went a couple of weeks ago. Wore a black skirt and heels with a black Las Vegas long sleeved shirt (it was subdued and not too tacky!). But I saw people wearing a wide range of attire. I would do the casual dressy route.
