Hi, check out expedia.com prices for the Sheraton Maui, I think it would be the ideal place for you and your family to stay. My boyfriend and I stayed there last April for a week. It was perfect and would stay there again in a heartbeat You can take a 10 minute stroll down the beach to Whaler's Village which has shops and resteraunts. The Rusty Harpoon had really great breakfast and is beachfront. From the hotel you can take a shuttle into Lahania, if I remember correct it was $2. You'll definitely want to rent a car, so many things to see!!! If you go to www.sheraton.com and go to the sheraton maui site there will be a little tab that says HawaiiLive, click on it and its a live webcam and you can check out the beach and the some of the pool area. Good Luck and have an amazing time.

I've twice used Phyllis @ travel-hawaii.com and have always gotten a good deal. Further more, they are a wholesaler and so you forgo the 11.4% sales tax. Find your best price and then let her know.

hi, i've been 5 times. i don't like the touristy areas; preferring, instead less crowded areas. travelling with an infant will be stressful and limiting. what about a grandparent coming to your home for a week 'visit' to care for the little one?

i'd avoid honolulu and waikiki, other than a quick look. on oahu check out the north side for huge waves and watching surfers; and of course the memorial at pearl harbor. so, one night/day should do it...remember, this is just my likes/opinions.

on maui, drive to the top of the volcano. half up look for hang gliders seting up on your left. in town, if you have a sitter for your child, be sure to go "warren and annabelle's" magic show. fantastic!

on kauai, drive to the 'grand canyon'.

our favorite island is the BIG Island. you can easily spend the bulk of your time there and see a multitude of beautiful sites from rain forests, to deserts, to snow-capped volcanos, to desert, to beaches, botanical gardens, lava flows, and on and on.

no matter where you go, you will be awed by the unbelievable beauty of this island paradise.

enjoy,

keith
