Ferry from Sheraton Lincoln Harbor to Javits Center
Hi, looking for a little help with hotel choice for business travel. I am booking some employees for a trade show in June at Javits and of course trying to save some money. One of the contracted hotels is the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor in New Jersey. The price is $219 and includes ferry passes. Read good reviews on Trip Advisor. I am wondering if that would be convenient or if I am better off paying a much higher rate for a Manhattan hotel. It looks like the ferry is right next to the hotel and the pier looks like it is right next to the convention center. How long does the ferry take and how often does it run? Any insight is welcome! I don't want to get grumbled at by the attendees!

Here is info on that ferry, rates, and the schedule. It goes from right next to the Sheraton (literally next door to the bldg.) to W. 39th St - Javits is at W. 34th St. Trip is 6 min. One bummer is that the last ferry from midtown to Weehawken is at 10:50 pm on weeknights, although on Sat. nights the last ferry is at around midnight. Sunday nights I think the ferry stops earier.

June is a rough time to get a decent rate in NYC. But I did get notifed by email by QuikBook that they were offering $209 rooms at the ACE hotel for June. That sale only lasted a few days and ended last Fri. But if you get on Quikbook's email list you can get specials like that.

Thank you emd3,
That sounds like it would probably work. These people will be working at a trade show all day so once they grab dinner they will be ready to head back to the hotel and get some rest so they won't be out very late. The $219 price for the room includes ferry passes both ways.
It doesn't sound like it would be any bigger hassle catching the ferry than hailing a cab since most of the hotels I am looking at in Manhattan are not within walking distance.
