February in Orange Beach, AL

is last week of February a bad time to go to Orange Beach? Seems like a good value but want it to be at least in the 70’s with little rain.

secondly what else is there for my husband and I to do there? We are in our early 50’s and active.

If you decide to go, make sure you visit the charming town of Fairhope. February is a very iffy time. It could be beautiful and sunny but if a cold front comes through it could be freezing. I wouldn't count on beach weather all the time but the weather usually changes quickly so you could just plan cold days around other activities. Downtown Pensacola is a nice place to visit. It has gone through a recent revitalization. There are also museums in Pensacola that are very nice, especially the Naval Air Museum on Pensacola NAS. Personally, I like Pensacola Beach a lot better than Alabama but that's just me.
