Favorite entertainment on a Road Trip :)

What is your favorite things to do while stuck in a car? (Besides rubbernecking) We may take a road trip, and I always get bored about halfway through. I try crosswords, reading, etc, but I need more ideas....

I love to be silent for an hour or so, then scream unexpectedly "see that hill??" and after that get into a heated discussion with the driver.

Teasing GoT. She's gets soooo bent out of shape! (Duane Reade, Duane Reade!)

[Kinda like "Ranger, ranger" on Herring Cove Beach (private joke - don't expect anyone to get it).]

I like to read a book, balance my checkbook, freshen my nail polish, things like that.

But, if I have a passenger with me, I like to talk.

Trivial Pursuit cards are fun. No real points, but at least you're learning something.

ME!!

I'm the best entertainment on a road trip.

The second best is BEER!

Truthfully, Mr.GoTravel and I can spend hours just talking. We work on totally different schedules.

Other than that, I have all kinds of card games like "Battle of the Sexes" and "Worst Case Scenario".

Here is a link to the WCS cards:

starrsville, I about peed my pants laughing at that!

When I was in college my boyfriend and I drove across country delivering a Volkswagon Jetta. Through the Mohave Desert, it was so flat, so boring, and so desolate, we actually broke out the Trivial Pursuit board game and played.

My husband drives while I navigate. We are so busy trying to figure where we are and where we're going, who has time for anything else?

My teenage daughter keeps telling me to get the ipod stereo adapter for the car so we can connect our ipods and listen as we drive. The only problem is she has her music, and I have mine.

Audiobooks! You don't even have to buy them--libraries have them, Cracker Barrel restaurants have a buy and return program . . . etc.

Doesn't anybody play license plate games anymore? We got 20 states in 20 minutes, once, stuck in traffic on the Delaware bridge on a Friday afternoon.

Faina, see my 3:16pm post. I've found that toe nail painting is just too difficult - unless my passenger is willing to do it for me. Maybe I'm just not as limber as I used to be

Ranger, ranger, Starrsy?! That sounds like the ole nude sun bathing ploy to me. As in "ranger, ranger" is coming, so grab your clothes!! ;-)

And...that would be it! Gotta put on the top before the ranger makes his/her way down the beach. And, no, diving in the surf won't work. He/she will just wait until you finally come out.

Or, so I've heard
