Family Trip Suggestions
My mom and dad would like to take our family on a trip somewhere this Spring. There would be 10 adults and 9 kids (ages from 80 to four months). Are there any all inclusive resorts in the southeast US that are liked by any of you? Or, are these types of places only in the Carribean and Mexico? My mom would like an all inclusive place so that no one has to cook or clean up a meal, and we don't have to coordinate a restaurant outing for every meal (i.e. kids can just grab meals/snacks when they want). We were hoping to stay in the US so that we could drive if we wanted to (as opposed to paying for 19 airfares). And, we want warm weather, that is another reason we are thinking southeast.

Have you/would you consider a cruise? I agree with your Mom on this - whenever I hear about extended families renting some big house somewhere I wonder if they have considered who will get stuck with the routine daily activities like cooking and picking up after everyone.
There are some really good cruise deals out there these days - but everyone would need a passport, which is an added expense. Likely everyone could find something to do on board or at ports - although a 4 month old on a cruise, or at an AI might not be much fun for the parents of infant since many childcare programs will not take kids that young.

You can get all-in packages at Sea Island, GA the Cloisters. Will test your budget. Boca Raton and the Breakers are similar, but not much of a destination for kids.
You can get all in at Disney with condo accomodations.
Many Mexican resorts feature inclusive packages, but would defer to another who has more experience.

I can't help w/the AI question but I will mention this, whenever we have gone on family outings we seldom even attempt to all eat together. Since these outings/gatherings are oftentimes @ the beach we may typically have a big oyster/seafood roast one night & then we may go out another night, but every family is kind of left to their own devices for meals & such. You're already living w/19 people for a week, it doesn't mean you have to do everything (meals included) w/them during that timeframe.
