Family moving need info

hi, My family and I are moving. We want to move near atlanta, GA I would like to live in a small community if possible. My husband is a home builder and he is the breadwinner of the family. I am a stay at home mom with 3 children 9, 12, and 8 months old. I am looking for an affordable place to rent with nice schools and close enough that my husband doesn't have to drive an hour a day back and forth to work. Also my 18 year old daughter is moving with us, but will be renting an apartment on her own. If anyone has any advise for a nice safe place for her as well.

You'll probably get a lot more replies if you change the post title to something like "Help with moving to Atlanta." Your post makes it sound like you're looking for a recommendation for a moving company.

Also, people's interpretations of "affordable" can vary drastically. You should try to give a not to exceed amount you hope to spend on rent per month, as suburbs of any city can vary in price. This will help those knowledgable about the Atlanta area help you more successfully.

What is your idea of affordable?

Atlanta is expensive and I believe surpassed LA as the worst commuting city in the country.

Does your husband have a job lined up?

Where are you moving from?

If you want to talk directly with some moms that live in Atlanta, GA you might try over on iVillage.com. Under ParentPlace there is a board called
"For our members in Atlanta, GA" It's a very active board and they were very helpful to me when I was worried about flying into snow in December.

I'm a registered memeber so I don't know if this direct link will work for you until you resgister. It's as easy as registering for fodors.
