Family Florida vacation on the beach..

I am traveling to Florida in April with two kids and am looking for a fun, reasonable resort on the beach for relaxation, sand, surf etc. I want a nice, clean resort in a nice area with a pool and a nice beach, preferably the Gulf side of Florida. Any help??

Try the Radisson on Lido Key, Sarasota area. Really great. Also the Don CeSar at St. Pete Beach. The Alden is a little easier on the budget, and also very nice (St. Pete).

Them's my recs. Happy holidays.

The east coast of FL stretches from Pensacola to Naples and south. What part of the Gulf Coast will you be visiting? Flying or driving? From where/to where?

If you want to try the panhandle, Seagrove beach is fun. Garrett Realty offers some reasoble deals and it is less than a mile from Seaside, which is super for kids. Beaches there are excellent, with super white fine sand. The area is clean and not terribly touristy, but there is plenty to do.
