Family Backpack Trip in Yellowstone
I am looking for a recommendation on a backpacking trip in Yellowstone and/or the Grand Tetons for a family of 4 (parents and 11 and 13-year old). I want to inspire the kids without exhausting them (or myself).

I'm hopeful others will reply, since I've only been to Yellowstone once.
We found the area around Old Faithful to have easy access with plenty of thermals. Hundreds of people gather around Old Faithful, but we only saw a handful of people on the trails nearby.

We returned from yellowstone on Thursday. We found the Grant Village area very accessible. Ther were plenty of lodging opportunities, also the fishing village area was accessible to everything. The Old Faithful area gets too crowded. We also stayed at the Jackson Lake lodge ( Grand Tetons) and loved it, although if I were to return to the tetons I would stay at the Signal Mnt. Lodge. We took our two ten year olds and they LOVED it.

emjmmandel, how long were you there? Which backpacking and hiking trips did you finally decide to do? I'd really appreciate hearing the pros and cons of the trails you took.
Did you camp in Yellowstone? If not, where did you stay? Would you give us an idea of your likes and dislikes about your accommodations - whether camping or lodging?
Thanks!
