Falmouth Cape Cod help family reunion
I have been given the lucky task of planning a family reunion for 35 people ranging in age from 80-1. Date is mid to late June 2013. Price range open!!
The Beach Breeze Inn seemed perfect but I found out they don't have any food options at the Inn. Given the ages we need to have some sort of dining on property.
I then came across Sea Crest Beach which seems to have more of the amenities for a mixed age crowd. beach, pool, bar, restaurant, AC, etc etc.
I guess the only bummer is some of the reviews were so so and the town is about 15 minutes away.
Is there a place that I am missing in falmouth or is Sea Crest the spot for a reunion???
Criteria for some was to stay at that end of the cape bc they will be going home at night.
Others like myself plan to explore once we are on.
Would love any ideas you have.
Thanks

Falmouth would be optimal for exploring/going home that night. There is plenty to do there, if you go to Woods Hole then go to the NOAA center. Its great for kids because it has all of these cool things about weather and geology. I have not had a reunion in a long time so I am not exactly sure which place is the best. There will always be bad reviews. I am booking one night in Las Vegas and I have found 2 reviews giving the Bellagio and the Venetian 1 star!! If it looks nice to you than it will be worth it.

We stayed one night at the Sea Crest for a family wedding and really liked it. The rooms aren't much to look at, but were clean. What made it for us was the location. Right on the beach, meaning you could use the pool and the beach by simply walking down the hall and close enough to other activities. The service was extraordinary. I actually told my DH that I would easily consider a weekend there in the future considering the set up.

On site eating is not typical at the smallish places found in Falmouth. The Sea Crest is very untypical of Cape Cod. There one feels more as if in FL or some other seashore/beach venue in the US....The ocean, of course, is spectacularly beautiful but if ""Old Cape Cod" is what you are seeking, that is not the spot.
We have been going annually to Falmouth/Woods Hole for almost 35 years and it is hard for me to think of a place where you can have access to a Cape type of experience, while also finding hotel type amenities.....This will need a compromise in either ambience or amenities. It may very well turn out that Sea Crest is your best option. There is a Holiday Inn on Jones Street which would offer no ocean experience but would be a very short--2 or 3 minute-- drive into the town of Falmouth. I assume that there is some food on the property, but I do not know for sure.
We have a time share at the property just behind (sort of) the Beach Breeze---Beachside Village---which is on Surf Drive overlooking the ocean, so I can tell you that would have been close to both the ocean and to town, but as you have discovered, no on site food.....
I hope that those who have vacationed in more traditional hotel type lodging will chime in here, b/c I cannot picture a place that would serve your needs while also offering a Cape Cod type of experience.

Hi
Thanks to everyone for all your help.
The family decided on Sea Crest.
Can I trouble you for one last thing?
What are the top restaurants for dinner in the area near sea crest, Falmouth, etc.
We will have cars or arrange for vans and price is open. Just want to make sure we are hitting the top spots. Lots of foodies in the group.
Thanks!!!!!!
