Experiences with Frontier Airways
Has anyone flown Frontier? I'm not familiar with them and am looking for a flight for ds from ABQ to LGA. They have the best fare and the layover is descent. Any opinions out there?

I flew them Kansas City to Denver and back, early this month. My first time ever.
The seats were reasonably large and there was a fair amount of space between my seat and the one in front of me. I am large and sometimes have trouble putting the folding tray down. But was able to put in down and bring it all the way toward me.
The commerical running on the TV in front of me was distracting and I would be tempted to take a post-it along to cover it the next time.
I would certainly fly them again.

Just flew Frontier this week, returning today. We had 4 legs, and each of them had excellent service. The four planes were all in great condition and I especially like that the seats are not fabric. Plenty of room, snacks available for purchase, personal video screens (none of them could be turned off), all flights on time or a few minutes early.

Considering Frontier for a trip to DEN in the Spring. Anyone know the current financial health, or lack thereof, of Frontier?
Would you book a flight more than a few months out with them? I know there's usually recourse with a credit card, but the hassle and unknown price of the replacement flight becomes an issue.

They are still in BK filing. They are still negotiating for funding and are selling some planes. They also just finished negotiating with the Denver airport in regards to returning some gates, etc.
Seems like it's fairly stable financially, no immediate danger of closing its doors.

I flew late last year from Phila to Denver to Vegas and back. It was a great flight; cheapest fare w/expedia, on-time and we made early arrival going west. We had to wait for a gate since we were too early. It's ashame they're in bankruptcy. I would fly with them again.

I flew them once last November. The plane from San Jose to Denver was a bit old feeling and the tv screens were broken. It was the plane w/ the wolf on the tail. The flight from Denver to Louisville was better. Newer plane, everything worked.
All in all it a fine experience as far flying goes.

My son and I just flew Frontier Arilines in August from Hartford, CT through Denver to Salt Lake City. Seats were comfortable, crew pleasant, sold food and the tv service using a credit card, very convenient. Only the last leg of our trip from Denver back home was delayed slightly and we were kept informed at all times. We actually only left 1/2 later than we were scheduled. We would fly them again, excpet they are discontinuing service from our area. What a loss.
