EWR to JFK? No car

I need to get from Newark to JFK on a Sunday in July, arriving at JFK by 4 pm at the latest (international flight). I'm either returning a rental car at EWR or going to NYC by bus from Allentown, PA...Questions:
What's the easiest no-car way to get from EWR to JFK? Especially on a Sunday afternoon.
Or, from NYC Port Authority, are there direct buses to JFK? What lines? How often do they run? How long does it take?
For various reasons too complicated to go into here, it is not convenient for me to pick up the rental car at JFK...I am really interested only in answers to these specific questions, not suggestions for alternate travel plans. Thanks!

Check out Transbridge Bus lines
http://www.transbridgebus.com/

They are based in Bethlehem, PA
(and travel NYC to BEthlehem/allentown/Easton as well as both Newark & Kennedy airports.
I didn't look at their site in much detail, but I thought someone told me that they are a few buses that run from airport to airport (perhaps with a stop in NYC)

From EWR, take one of the airport busses into the city, get off at either Port Authority or Grand Central, and then take the various busses from there to JFK.

There are a couple of companies that run regular from Port Authority to JFK, just go up to the second level, follow the Airport signs where the companies operate out of.

Direct service is provided by Airporter.
Cost is $22, trip takes 90 minutes and operates from 8am to 10pm. For information call (800) 385-4000.

RFQ,
Thank you--but your reply is a little cryptic--90 minutes from where to where? EWR to JFK or from Port Authority to JFK? Or something else...? If the Airporter has a direct bus from Newark Airport to JFK that would be VERY helpful as it looks like I'll be returning a rental car there instead of busing from the Lehigh Valley.

The 90 minutes is from EWR to JFk. The Airporter (actually name is Princeton Airporter). It is direct service and . does not make any stops between the two airports. I have never taken this shuttle but I am reasonalby certain it does not go into Manhattan and gets to JFK by going through Staten Island.

The Princeton Aiporter has a website, www.goairporter.com. If you check the website, they provide a schedule of departure and arrival times for the Newark-JFK shuttle.

Thanks rqf and Jayelle--that's exactly what I'm looking for. I will check their schedule and see what the best time is.
