Everglades in January, 2020

Looking for advice on how to experience the Everglades in January. Interested in walks, biking, kayaking and where to stay as a base or move. Can go for 3-4 days.

Have you driven across Alligator Alley?
https://www.thisismysouth.com/tips-d...ligator-alley/

Let's just say, I have a healthy respect for the most "popular" inhabitants of the Everglades.

I did enjoy an airboat tour to a hammock years ago, but the one I took gets really bad reviews now. Here's one with good reviews -

I have a family member who takes multi-day kayak/ camping trips in the swamp, but that's not for me. If you do want to take an extensive trip, I'd check for reviews on TA.

This link to the NPS webpage provides links to approved vendors -

Good luck finding the combination that works for you!

We have not been there for many years, but the Shark river area and the boat ride from Everglades City through the mangroves were both very good, although quite far apart.
