I've not stayed there, but live nearby and have been to several events there. Its nice, classy. My friend had a BIG suite (either honeymooner room or panthouse) and from visiting the room for cocktails, it seems to have many classy ammenities. The place is spotless. It is aiming for a "surfer" (kinda Hawaii) feel in some small touches in decor and in the menu. Many out of state tourists (snowbirds) stay there year round; many families. Because the service is professional, I imagine they accomodate business travelers quite well; however, it is far from any convention center and not near freeway onramps, so there really are more tourists than business people. Ocean view rooms truly look right over the ocean (which isn't that common around here), with only Pacifc coast highway between you and the beach.

Do you have any more specific questions? What is your travel purpose?

PS If you want restaurant tips, I just dined in a wonderful new restaurant o on Main St. Oh, I can also recommend the best place to buy souvenirs, the best milkshake, best locals breakfast place, and a fun beach to stroll (can you tell HB is my hometown and I love it??). Enjoy your stay in our city!!

OClocal seems to have a problem with being very informative. You'll have to contact the Chamber of Commerce for that wonderful new restaurant on Main St.

We stayed there while visiting our daughter. It was GREAT! I enjoyed the ocean view and you can but a package of wood, matches, hot dogs, etc for a campfire on the beach. I think they even loaned us a blanket.

My husband and I will be staying at the hilton during part of our california vacation. Always looking for tips on restaurants - so feel free to give suggestions. Thanks for the tip on grilling on the beach - we'll check it out.
