Eureka Springs Arkansas Visit

Me and my husband will be visiting Eureka Springs September 28 for one night. I made reservations at The Crescent Hotel for that night. Can someone tell me what to expect? And also for a nice restaurant - what is your rating of the restaurant in the hotel? Thanks!

Have never dined at the Crescent restaurant, but I think you will enjoy Eureka Springs. The town is very laid back and casual, and the mountains are beautiful. My husband and I have spent one week there for the past three years in the month of March. If you appreciate interesting architecture or are a spiritual person, don't miss Thorncrown Chapel, off Hwy. 62 just west of town. Designed by architect Fay Jones, the non-denominational chapel is really amazing and definitely worth a visit.

Jayme,
While I'm not familiar with that particular hotel, Eureka Springs is a delightful town, remarkable for the way it's nestled in the hills (it's REALLY a hill town, multilevel). Very pretty area. We stayed for several nights, and had an enjoyable day at Beaver Lake, about 30 minutes out of town. Unless you're just driving through on the way to somewhere else, the area is probably worth more than one night. Also, do a search on the web for Eureka Springs, and you'll probably find info about your hotel.

Just a followup from me. We enjoyed several dinners at DeVito's, an Italian restaurant in downtown Eureka Springs. Here's a web link for it:

You'll surely want to return to Eureka if you're only spending one night there. Enjoy your trip!

Jayme, use an excellent Search Engine, Google, at

www.google.com

Then, type in Crescent Hotel, Eureka Springs, AR

Its website should be the first you see (it was when I just did it) in a long list about things in Eureka Springs, AR.
Remember, many (if not most) hotels have websites. Using a search engine and searching the Internet will bring you a wealth of information.
