Etiquette Schools for Teenagers?
I've been looking for a good seminar for my 17 year old son. (He really does want to do this) The perfect seminar would be one held in a major city in which the finer things of adulthood are taught such as table manners, social etiquette, wines, etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I vaguely recall that the Ritz Carlton in Boston has a program. You might want to give them a call. Miss Manners has written fabulous books on "modern" etiquette - one of them is for educating your kids. All are positively charming, amusing, and informative.

Good for your son. I know this won't help in answering your question, but Tiffany's has a book called Tiffany's Table Manners for Teenagers. You may want to try to get a copy for starters. My mom bought it for me years ago. I laughed at first, but many of the things in the book have stuck with me.

The Ritz in Boston does have a program. There are also several people in New York who hold seminars in various hotels such as the Plaza or the Pierre. Until you find one, though, the Tiffany's book is definitely a plus - my siblings and I were each given a copy many years ago and the results were quite noticeable!

You might check with The Cloister on Sea Island, Georgia. I know they have classes for younger children, but I'm not sure what the upper age would be. Their number is 912 638 3611; www.seaisland.com
