Entertainment Coupon Book

Has anyone used this coupon book?

http://www.entertainment.com/discoun...editions.shtml

and if so what are your opinions. It appears to me to be a great deal. If I am reading it right it will cost me $20.12 this week ( reg. $35.00 ) and I can get 25 % off at Germaines for up to four people which would be far more than the cost of the book ???

We used it back in 2006. Got our money's worth out of it.

I get one as a gift every year it seems. This year my DD gave me one.

Honestly, I get South & West Chicago Edition and have the card that goes with in. The one that looks like a credit card but has the punches for the one time only uses!

Only had this version for 2 weeks and have already used it about 5 times. Entrance for one movie for 7 of us (brought the grandkids to Miss.Imp.IV)- that one alone- paid for the book. Saved $3 off of each ticket.

In the past, I've even used the codes inside for online reductions.

But most of the time I use it for local restaurants and stores. The two for ones, so we can try new places! For that alone it is well worth buying.

Do register it online.

We have used it on vacations too. Ours have WI stuff, especially, that I have used. And also for reduced price Sox tickets if my other combo deals fall through.

I meant that we used the Hawaii book in 2006. I think I might have bought a used one from someone on here, in fact.

As we are headed there next month, this made me consider buying one again. But we are only going to Big Island, so not sure it would be worthwhile there. We used coupons for Maui and Oahu in 2006. USS Missouri tour, and a great French restaurant on Maui, come to mind as really good ones to use.

If you buy them for the destination you are visiting, I would be very careful about the dates and the exclusions. And first check that there isn't a gocard or some other tourist package sold by the local tourism site- that would be better.

We bought a tourism package, not entertainment venue, but tourism's for that area, several times online that was worth it, but that had exclusions NOT in the advertisement for these packages. Seattle's, Chicago's, and Minneapolis's all come to mind.

entertainment books almost all go from Nov. to Nov. too- so make sure you are not getting the old or wrong time period for your trip.

All of those entertainment books include nation wide or some international coupons too. Especially for rental cars, hotel chains etc.

Right now if you buy one for $20.12 you can buy a second one for $15.00 and no shipping charge so I bought 2 for a total of $35.12. My Daughter and her husband are going to Hawaii in Feb so will give them one.
Thanks
Warren

I looked through the dining options and most of what I saw is based on O'ahu. We will be there 3 days, the BI, 5 days and Maui 8 days. Is there anything else there that makes it "buy"?

Dawn, I was wondering the same thing. We will just be on Maui and the Big Island. I didn't see any food coupons for those islands unless I missed something.

I tried to find info on the BI offerings, but can't seem to find any - we are headed there in a month and it would have been nice to use it there.

I had the same problem finding coupons for the other Islands and hopefully there will be some but we are staying in Waikiki for 7 nights so I think we will get our moneies worth from it.
