I second the recommendation for NOLA's over Emeril's. Recent comments on Emeril's seems that it's just a hit and miss situation with both food and service. I've always enjoyed NOLA's and always have a hard time deciding on what to order b/c of all the great choices! I've never been to Delmonico's - his latest N.O. restaurant, but my husband has - he wasn't impressed with it - food or price ($200 lunch for 3).

Hi Sandra: Whatever you do, avoid Emeril's. It is a tourist trap; the locals here go to Bayonna or Brigstens's uptown. Emeril just remodeled the restaurant in the Warehouse District - he should spend more on the quality of service and food.
He no longer cooks in this restaurants but on a few occasions. He has hired an Executive Chef who oversees all 6 of his restaurants.
You can do much better than Emeril's - just another overrated, overpriced disappointment.
If you are in New Orleans you might also try Irene's.
