Elope in Carefree??

Hi!
We are 30 yr olds thinking of getting married in the Carefree/Scottsdale AZ area. It will either be a VERY small group or just the 2 of us. We are looking for a location that is unique but not tacky. We are interested in good weather (WARM!) ... and great scenery (for photography). Can anyone here provide their opinion on if this is a good or bad choice for a quiet wedding? The Boulders Resort seems to have the most unique architecture! Is there another resort that would be better (or similar) to this??? We have not yet nailed down the date and we are extremely open to suggestions!

Thanks!!
Mora

The Boulders Resort and the Carefree area are beautiful. The Phoenician also has beautiful grounds. It's a toss-up, in my opinion. April is usually a perfect month weather-wise.

Couldn't do better than The Boulders and Carefree...just a beautiful, unique area. You should be very happy with your choice.

If you want to have a unique beverage at the wedding, serve chili pepper beer - brewed right there in Carefree.

Actually, the chili beer isn't brewed in Carefree, it's brewed in Cave Creek by the owners of the Satisfied Frog. The Food Network was at the Frog and their Black Mountain Brewery about a month ago filming a story about the chili beer for an upcoming episode of Extreme Foods.

I checked The Boulders rates on the internet. $625 - whew. Is it worth that much?

At $625 per night, please limit this to just the two of you. No one should have to face these types of costs to attend a wedding.
