Elegant Hotel for Wedding in Fort Worth??

My niece wants to get married and have a nice sit down dinner for a small group of family and friends at a hotel in Fort Worth. In checking online, I came across 3 possibilities and would appreciate it if anyone has knowledge of these hotels or any others that might be nice for a small wedding:

1) The Ashton
2) The Stockyards
3) The Worthington

I stayed at the Worthington this summer and thought it was lovely. The rooms are very large and nicely decorated. You didn't mention if you would all be staying there or not, so I'm not sure if that matters. The public areas (lobby, and meeting rooms) were nice and the hotel is in a great location--right down town near restaurants and shopping. I'm not sure if they have a nice area for a wedding, but based on my experience there, I would recommend it to anyone!

I'll agree that the Worthington is very lovely. I've attended 1000+ people banquets there. It is also very huge, and a small group might feel a little lost.
The Stockyards would be better for a small group. The historic hotel and the stockyards area itself would add a lot of atmosphere, too. Their staff is very accommodating and helpful, too.

Bettyk, My personal vote would be for the Ashton. It is a new hotel located downton and is absolutely beautiful - the lobby and restaurant area are the rooms I have seen. I had a Christmas luncheon there and the food was spectacular. However, I can't speak about any banquet room, as ours was a small luncheon held in the restaurant. The Worthington is a nice Large Hotel.... It has been several years since I have dined there, so I hate to give an opinion on the food. Depending on how many constitutes "small group" they might serve your needs better. Both the Aston and Worthington are located downtown. The Stockyards is located - guess where... in the Stockyards.... It has a very western feel to it. I have only been in the common areas there, so I really can't comment. Again, my personal vote of these three would be the Aston... Another thought would be Etta's Place located in Sundance Square 817-654-0267. They are listed as a bed and breakfast, but it really is more like a small hotel. I do not like bed and breakfasts and we love to stay at Etta's. The food is excellent and the hotel has a small charming feel to it. They have a lovely library/music room that would be beautiful for a small wedding. The rooms are decorated with brass beds, quilts, heavy wood furniture.... The also have a suite that would be wonderful for the newley weds to stay in. Our kids gave us the suite for the weekend for our 25th anniversary and we had a great time. There are several nice restaurants withing walking distance and Sundance Square is very beautiful at night... You might give them a call. Good luck to you and your niece!! Let me know if I can try and do anything to help you. I work in downtown Fort Worth....

Although it is 30 minutes outside of Ft. Worth, I suggest that you take a look at Rough Creek Lodge. Check it out at www.roughcreeklodge.com. It is considered "rustic elegance" which may not be what you are looking for. Best of luck in your search!

Thank you all for your wonderful responses. It sounds like the Ashton or Worthington would be very suitable but the Rough Creek Lodge and Etta's place also look interesting. I'll check them out.
