ElCapitan Tent and Cabin Camping

We will be staying in a Safari Tent at El Capitan Canyon as part of our little fun road trip this summer. Does anyone have any information on El Capitan (near Snata Barbara)? I could only find a really old post on these boards.

Hoping to learn of fun things to do, great easy hikes, what the restaurant and store are like (could we buy chicken breast in the market?) and any other suggestions.

Thank You!

I just checked with the El Capitan about the market and they do not sell produce or chicken.

I would still love to hear from others that have been there and to get some suggestions and reviews.

Hi Hip Virgo!

We did make it to CR- we went before you!! We had the best time! We are hoping to go back in 2008 but we may be moving right when our trip was planned...

How are you?

What is your next trip?

We are taking a little road trip to Slovang, Cayusco, Heasrt Castle and Santa Barbara. It will fun to get away and we have not been to any of the places that we are going.

So nice to hear from you!
Gem

gem - Duh, I should have remembered that! You know how everything becomes a blur sometimes?!?!?!? It was hard keeping track of every one coming and going!

Are you moving to another City? Or, staying local? Moving is always fun. Ugh!

Yes, I see you're doing some other travel...sounds like fun too! I did a coast trip down there and went to Hearst Castle many years ago. It's beautiful down there. Have a great trip an drop in on the CR board once in a while,

Oh, we are going back next Spring. March 21 through April 6. Not brave enough yet to chance the high rainy season when my daughter's school's out for the Summer, but maybe another time! I wasn't planning on going again so soon, so I'm having to tighten up the budget!
