I'm not much of a seafood eater, so I can't be much help with that one. As for Italian, the Pizza Port is a popular local place for very casual food.
For a more upscale choice, Cafe Roma in San Luis Obispo is a good choice.
Martin's in nearby Cayucos offers both Italian and Mexican food and is a good choice.
In Morro Bay, Julio's has good casual Mexican food.
While I haven't eaten there, I've heard rave reviews about seafood dishes at the Pacific Cafe down at the Embarcadero. It's a very small restaurant and is tough to get a table, but is supposed to be a great dining experience from what I've been told.

There is a very nice place in Baywood Park (just outside Morro Bay) called Mare Blu. It serves fairly sophisticated cuisine with an Italian influence. Also Windows on the Water in MB is generally ranked among the top places in the area.

Papa Julio's is one of my favorite haunts when in Morro Bay. Casual little place with good food. It's right next to the town's movie theater.
Anyone tried out the crepes place down the street? I'm heading up over the weekend and thought about giving it a try.
