Eating out approximately 20 times in Wyoming

Our family will be in the Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, Grand Teton and Driggs, Idaho area this summer for a week. We will be eating all our meals out. Have received excellent information on forum regarding all aspects of travel in this area, but need more info on restaurants. Will have teenagers along and would also appreciate some places they might especially like. Interested in nice places as well as casual.

In the Tetons, Colter Bay cafeteria was pretty good and I highly recommend the Signal Mountain Lodge Restaurant for a very nice meal. One of the neat things we saw a family do was have a breakfast that the father made at the top of Signal Mountain. What a view they had and we wish we had thought of that. In Yellowstone, the Yellowstone Lake Lodge Cafeteria was also pretty nice. Had a very nice dinner in Jackson at the Gun and Barrel Restaurant.

Two summers ago we vacationed in the area you are asking about. Our family enjoyed going to the Bar-T-5 Covered Wagon Cookout and Wild West Show in Jackson--call for info and reservations at 1-800-772-5386. Also while in Jackson we ate at Mountain High Pizza. In Yellowstone we enjoyed packing a lunch and eating at one of the picnic areas. There is an Albertsons grocery in Jackson where you can purchase food for a picnic.

There is a place in Jackson Hole. I can't remember the name. Some kind of Sourdough bakery, People line up for there breakfast it is excellent. There is also a place called the Bunnery that was terrific. We ate out for Breakfast and supper and sandwiched for lunch. Good italian for at little place behind the Anvil Inn.

Went on a similar trip this past summer with our 2 teenagers. Ditto to some of the suggestions already made.
Jackson, WY: I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND making reservations for the Bar-T-Five Covered Wagon Cookout as soon as you can. We had a great time (very entertaining!). My husband & I also had breakfast at The Bunnery (while our teenagers slept in) and it was very enjoyable.
I found that the restaurants at the National Parks left much to be desired (at least the ones you could afford). Signal Mountain Lodge in the Grand Tetons was the best we found. Dinner prices a bit steep but we enjoyed the gorgeous views from our table at breakfast. You might want to consider renting a boat at the marina at Signal Mountain--the views of the Grand Tetons
were breathtaking and the lake was very
peaceful. You felt like you were in your own little world. Have a great trip!

Jedediah's is the house of sourdough and everything they make is yummy. Small and very popular, so go prepared to wait. It's worth it. Also, Steigler's at the Racquet Club is outstanding and more on the expensive side. Bubba's on the main highway is great for all meals. Also very popular, but a fun place. Cheap. The Mangy Moose at Teton Village is also excellent with a good salad bar and huge menu. The Blue Lion is supposed to be very good, but I haven't personally been there yet. There is an "upscale" nouvelle cuisine restaurant next to the Cowboy Bar, but I'm drawing a blank on the name. Definitely do one of the Chuckwagon dinner shows. They are really good. Have a wonderful time!

We are coming to Jackson in July to get married and staying in the Tetons and yellowstone for 6 days, we plan on getting married somewhere by Jenny Lake, it looks so beautiful. If anyone has any
ideas on special spots and we are staying that night at the Cowboy Village Resort in Jackson, what about a nice place for dinner that night. We welcome any suggestions. Thank you.
