Chesapeake Bay Bridge Traffic

We are making plans for our Washington DC trip which will take place in June. On Saturday, June 12, we are going to drive to St. Michaels, Maryland from Arlington, Va. I have heard that weekend traffic on the bridge is heavy. What would be a good time to leave Saturday morning to avoid some of that heavy traffic? 6:00 A.M.?, 6:30 A.M? Is there a time frame when it's the heaviest? Thanks in advance for any advice you have to offer!!!

10AM may be lightly travelled on week days but on a Saturday --- I don't think so. Especially from Virginia, I'd try to get started no later than 7AM. (Of course, if it's a rainy day, or in the middle of a cold spell,it may not matter, so you could leave at 9.) "Beach" traffic will be the kicker. If it looks like a good beach weekend, traffic will be heavy. June 12 may be a bit early for that to happen.
