Easter Sunday Brunch in Tampa

Thanks Patrick!! I honestly didn't want to respond for fear I'd get bashed for advertising. My husband runs Hyatt Westshore and I wanted to recommend their brunch, but didn't dare.
I do want to suggest, though, that instead of going to Armani's which is the most formal of their 3 restuarants, that Mary do it instead in Oystercatchers. The menu is as appealing, perhaps more so with some, especially kids, but there is also a small sandy beach right there and docks, so if the kids are old enough, the parents often let them roam outside while they are waiting, or after while the parents sit and talk. The Easter Bunny will be on hand for any of the 3 restaurants.
One word of caution, make your reservations as early as possible...at least a week in advance possibly more to ensure getting the restaurant you want. It sells out well in advance.
(by the way Patrick...we LOVED Sebastian/Vero area--what a change from the west coast!!...you tried to help us with lodging around Sebastian and told how much you liked it there. I sure concur...aside for dh's case of food poisoning from a Melbourne Beach fine restaurant, it was a great weekend...abruptly ending 8 hours after that meal. It was a long drive back here on hwy 60 even two days later he'd been so sick!

Well, Olive Oyl, you must have me mixed up with another Patrick as I've never been to Sebastian. I'm in Naples. Oystercatchers is great, but I never knew they also did brunch there. You are right it might be more appealing to the kids. Best wishes to your husband. I look for reasons to go to Tampa, because I love staying at the Hyatt Westshore. And although I always say I hate hotel dining, they actually have two wonderful restaurants there.

Sorry Patrick..I'd thought of asking you about Sebastian as you seem to get around here, but it was another FL regular, Larry who had the info.
Glad you like our restaurants...they are unusual in the hotel business, where mediocre dining is more the norm.
Oystercatchers does brunch every Sunday, not just Easter. Unfortunately Mary, I badly misjudged the popularity of their Easter Brunch. They are already sold out. There may still be openings in Armani's (which would be my next choice) or Petey Brown's.
You might try some of the other large hotels too...I would think both the Don CeSar (St. Pete Beach) and the Vinoy (St. Pete) do Easter Brunch as well.
Thanks for the kind words Patrick...very nice to hear, especially from someone in Naples, which is one of *my* favorite places to go!
